With Thanksgiving finally upon us we took the opportunity this week to make not one, not two, but three recipes for those of you that still might need a dish to impress the friends and family. We chose three of our favorite stuffing recipes that offer a few different flavor options, so take your pick because they are all delicious! If you are feeling a slightly sweet then the apple cranberry is sure to satisfy, or if you go for savory then we have what you need with the southern style cornbread and sausage stuffing, or if you want to keep it simple with a more traditional flavor then look no further because we’ve got you covered so let’s take a look!
If you’re still in need of a stuffing recipe this week then you’ve come to the right place. While we appreciate the lists online offering the widest possible range of flavors over dozens of recipes, scrolling through and making a choice on what sounds best can be intimidating so we opted instead to stick with three great recipes that offer 3 distinct flavors to choose from, and the best part is that you can’t go wrong with any of them! Starting with our traditional stuffing recipe, it is as the name suggests, your classic bread stuffing with a mix of vegetables that offer a little bit of freshness to what is otherwise a fairly savory flavor with the bread, broth, and seasonings mixed in. But just because it’s traditional doesn’t mean it’s boring, recipes like this are a classic for a reason and that’s because they offer a great taste to complement the rest of your Thanksgiving plate. And at Midamar we always have to offer our own little additions that we think you’ll enjoy so that’s why we added our halal beef bacon to the mix, because who doesn’t love the taste and satisfying crispiness of bacon?
If you want just a little bit of sweetness, then the apple cranberry stuffing offers just that. Using the same white bread cut in chunks that you can use for the traditional, it still has the same basic taste as the traditional from the broth and veggies but with just a little bit of sweet thanks to the apple and dried cranberries cooked in, with neither flavor being too overpowering they come together to make one very tasty stuffing.
On the flipside of sweet, we also made a more savory southern cornbread and sausage stuffing that was absolutely delicious. This was the most involved of all the recipes, being that you’ll need to make cornbread instead of using the white bread loafs the other two use, but it is still a simple stuffing recipe and well worth it to great a deceptively great flavor from such a simple recipe. This also shows off the fantastic flavor in Midamars halal breakfast sausage links which are always so good any chance we get to use them, and the little bits of sausage flavor went with the cornbread so well.
And it’s as simple as that! If you still need a recipe for Thanksgiving then you can stop stressing because any one of these three stuffings is quick, easy, and so good that you won’t be able to stop yourself from snacking on it when they come out of the oven, so pick a favorite and jump in because you can’t go wrong with any of them! Otherwise, we were very excited to share these with you, we’re hoping you share them with someone else, and as always let us know if you enjoyed or what you did to make these recipes your own. Until next time!
