Fried Thanksgiving Leftover Balls

Fried Thanksgiving Leftover Balls

Over the last several weeks we here at Midamar have tried to give you recipes that we think you and your family will enjoy for the holiday, and maybe in that time you’ve been stressing about hosting or providing enough that will leave you and your family satisfied at the end of the day. Now that Thanksgiving has passed, you, like many others, may be left with an interesting problem; you may have more food than you know what to do with and your fridge is filled to the brim with leftovers. If this sounds like you then this weeks recipe is here to help, and we wanted to give it our own little spin.

One quick and easy way to use your leftovers is to throw it all together into a casserole and bake it so you’re left with one tasty dish, but we wanted to do leftovers our own way this time. We decided instead to take the classic Thanksgiving flavors of stuffing, turkey, and mashed potatoes all rolled together in breadcrumbs and fried to give us these delicious little fried Thanksgiving balls! These dipped in leftover cranberry sauce or gravy use all those leftovers taking up space in your fridge all rolled together into one handy and surprisingly tasty package. This recipe also requires very little aside from the leftovers, just flour, egg, breadcrumbs, and oil for frying and you’ll have golden brown, crispy, and handy little snacks that you can enjoy in the following days. If you’ve had enough of cooking for a while after Thanksgiving then this is a perfectly simple recipe that will use your leftovers if you’re feeling like trying something a little fun and different.

This was a short recipe this week, which is what some of us need during the holiday season after hosting and cooking for friends and family and we’re hoping we gave you some inspiration to treat yourself to an easy and tasty snack while also putting your leftovers to good use. We really enjoyed these little leftover balls here, we wanted to share them with you and we’re hoping you share them with someone else. So if you make these for yourself let us know what you did differently, what leftovers did you have that you wanted to try, and how did they turn out? As always let us know and we hope you enjoy! Until next time.
