Quick, easy, and delicious bacon Brussel sprouts!

If you’re in need of a quick and easy side dish to make for the family during the holidays then this weeks recipe has you covered. This week we made glazed Brussel sprouts with Midamars Halal beef bacon, and just because they’re quick to make doesn’t mean you’re sacrificing great flavor when you make these because these sprouts were so good and will make a delicious addition to anything you want to pair them with!

With the holiday season fast approaching maybe you’ve been put in charge of hosting or just bringing a side to your family dinner. If you’re at a loss for ideas or you’re too busy to spend too much time in the kitchen preparing something that will delight your friends and family, then these Brussel sprouts may be the answer you’re looking for. A quick prep time before you toss them in the oven is the only standing between you and a delicious and Halal dish that is sure to be a hit at family gatherings or just with your family anytime you want to make add them to dinner at home. Even those who might be skeptical of Brussel sprouts may be tempted by this recipe because our not-so-secret ingredient is our Halal beef bacon baked over top of the sprouts, and because it all gets baked in the oven together, the prep time for this recipe is mercifully so short and simple. We also opted to add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes that paired so well with the sweetness of the syrup glaze and added a complexity to the flavor that you might not expect from a simple side, but if you aren’t a fan of spice then this addition isn’t required, and you will still have some very tasty sprouts in the end. Less than an hour total for the whole recipe is all that’s needed, and you’ll have Brussel sprouts with a perfect, slightly crispy outside and a mix if slight sweetness and the occasional little bit of spice that we could not get enough of!
