Three Amazing Sauces for Halal Kebabs

Three Amazing Sauces for Halal Kebabs

Imagine this, dear reader: a spread of tantalizingly flavorful Halal kebabs in a variety of amazing flavors. From beef, to lamb, to chicken and ready to enjoy in just a few minutes. I don’t know about you, but I think that sounds fantastic, and now that Midamar is the official source of Colonel Kababz products online, you don’t have to just imagine because now they can be yours. While these are great on their own, what really elevates a good kebab is an equally good sauce to dip it in, and that’s what we knew we had to provide for you this week. But we wanted to give you a choice of great flavors for whatever you might be craving, from a creamy mint yogurt to a spicy salsa, these dips have what you need, and the best part is they’re simple and ready for dipping in no time!

For those of you that are craving something savory and fresh for your kebab, we made this chimichurri dip that we think you’ll enjoy. This recipe doesn’t require any cooking and only needs a few shallots chopped, and cilantro and parsley destemmed for preparation. Otherwise, it’s all good to go into a blender with a few other spices. Simplicity is the name of the game for these sauces. The chimichurri is great for those of you that want a fresh herb flavor to go with an equally flavorful kebab. Fresh is really the best way to describe this sauce, keep it refrigerated after preparing and the chilled sauce paired with a warm kebab makes this a sauce that’s a pleasure all around to eat.

The next recipe is a little bit more involved and it’s for any spice lovers that want to turn up the heat on their kebabs with this salsa taquera. It requires a little bit of cooking for the tomato, onion, garlic, and chiles de arbol, and these chiles are the main flavor of this sauce. This dip can be hot if you want it to be! But the good news is that this heat can be cut with a few ingredients when you get to blending it all together. The addition of some lime juice helps reduce the heat quite a bit and adds a great tangy flavor that makes this dip all the more flavorful and complex. If you want to keep the heat but still want the tanginess, then feel free to use less lime juice, and you’ll still get a lot of spice out of those chiles. When everything is blended, the tomato gives this sauce a smoother and creamier texture than the chimichurri that makes it great for dipping.

The last sauce is the simplest but not lacking in any great flavor. This mint yogurt is, as the name implies, mostly plain Greek yogurt and fresh mint, blended with a few other things like garlic and lemon juice. This is a great dip that’s cool and refreshing from the mint, and creamy and tangy from the Greek yogurt that goes great with a kebab that made this one a personal favorite. And it’s made all the better in its simplicity, all of these sauces are quick to make but this one’s done in no time, tastes great, and has a great texture to go along with your favorite kebab.

And there you have it, three simple but delicious sauces to go with your next round of kebabs, or really anything that needs a nice dip to go in, the different flavor options of these make them great for a lot of different things! If you get to making these for yourself, don’t forget to share them with someone you think might enjoy them, or experiment with different flavors for your sauces, there’s a lot of great options out there and we’re hoping you enjoy these until our next recipe next week.
