Quick and Easy Grilled Sausage and Pepper packs

If you’re entertaining guests this summer, don’t sweat how you’re going to feed them all with recipes that are too complex and time consuming. Save yourself a headache and make these easy foil packs, but just because they’re easy doesn’t mean they don’t taste fantastic! And you’ll have more time to spend with friends and family over a great grilled dinner, it’s a win-win!

As nice as it is to make a great meal from the comfort of your kitchen, sometimes nothing beats getting out while the weather’s nice and firing up the grill. When it comes to grilling, nothing beats juicy Halal meats and vegetables cooked to perfection, which is what we have for you this week with these grilled sausage and pepper foil packs! These have everything you need, all wrapped up in one convenient package, and are quick and easy to make, you really couldn’t ask for a better recipe if you were looking for a reason to get out and grill.

We stuck with a few key ingredients for these packs, Midamar’s Halal Italian rope sausage, 3 different bell peppers, red potatoes, and yellow onion for a flavor combination that has everything you could want. The sausage was hot, juicy, and flavorful cooked together with the vegetables that were soft, savory, and seasoned to perfection in the preparation. Each one of these ingredients tastes great on its own, but when they’re all wrapped up and grilled together, the meal is so much better than just the sum of its parts. We made enough to feed the whole office and they were a big hit! The recipe we’re providing here makes about 8 packs, so bring the whole family, any guests, and come hungry because you’ll have plenty!

And you get all of this from a recipe that is a breeze to make. The preparation is simple, a knife and cutting board is all you’ll need to slice the sausage into pieces, the peppers into strips, and the onion and potatoes into healthy chunks. Afterwards, mix them all in a large mixing bowl with olive oil and a generous amount of salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. And believe it or not, you’re almost done with this recipe already, just add large a couple handfuls of the mix to sheets of foil and wrap it up tight. Set them on the grill over medium high heat for 20 to 30 minutes, until the sausage is cooked through, the veggies are soft and that’s it, they’re ready to be enjoyed! Let them cool a bit and you’re ready to eat! These packs are great to eat right out of the foil, so if you’re out in the back yard with friends and family, these are a great grilling option and a summer staple recipe.
